Bathroom Audit

August 25, 2017

Washrooms are some of the most often seen and harshly judged facilities in a business. The state of a bathroom can make or break a customer’s opinion of the whole business. In a Cintas survey, 94% of customers said they would not return to a business if the bathrooms were unclean and would take sloppiness in washrooms as indicative of sloppiness in other parts of the business.
So what impression is your washroom giving to customers?
If you aren’t sure then it is time for a bathroom audit! We recommend that business owners and managers conduct a full bathroom audit at least once a quarter, to make sure that you are giving your customers the right impression.
What to look for:
  • Hygiene: Are the smell and appearance of your washroom pristine?
  • Supplies: Are all toilet paper, soap and paper towel dispensers fully stocked?
  • Plumbing: Are all faucets and toilets in good working order?
  • Toilet Partitions: Do all doors and locks close securely?
  • Chips and Cracks: Are tiles, paint, and mirrors free of any visible chips or cracks?
  • Vandalism: Is there any graffiti or other vandalism defacing your bathroom? Make sure to check inside the bathroom cubical.
Regular bathroom audits can help improve your maintenance procedures and ensure that your customers are left with the right impression of your business.
